CABARET HIGHLIGHTS

I love Cabaret and have been very fortunate to perform solo shows and also share the stage with some of the finest performers in the world.

BACKGROUND BOY

My Original Solo Show

Background Boy was first performed at the Butterfly Club, Melbourne in 2015 and had subsequent seasons at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Butterfly Club (return), La Boheme (Adelaide), Edinburgh Festival and 2 seasons at the world famous "Pheasantry" in Chelsea, London. Many songs were co written with Chris Keogh and the show was directed by Sally Bourne and featured guests spots from Bonnie Thorn, David Abiuso and many guest lady duet partners.

BOB DOWNE/
MARK TREVORROW

The King Of Cabaret

I’ve been working with the great Bob Downe (aka Mark Trevorrow) for over 20 years. Show highlights include "Million Sellers" (Edin Fes, UK tour, sold out Continental and Sydney Opera House), "S'Jazzy" (ARIA nominated CD), "World War Bob", "Live And Swinging", "Bob Sweat And Tears" and "It's About Time" (as Mark Trevorrow) which earned me my first Green Award for musical direction.

PASTEL VESPA/FIONA THORN

The Queen Of Continental Lounge

I'm very proud of all the shows Fiona and I have created over the years. Highlights would be the french shows "Fais Moi Mal Johnny" (songs of Boris Vian) and "He Drank Too Many Cigarettes" (Serge Gainsbourg) and the Pastel Vespa CD's (released around the world on the Spanish label SIESTA) and tours with Bob Downe (Edinburgh, Adelaide Cabaret, UK, Sydney Opera House). Also very proud of the 2 lovely daughters we created as well.

MEOW MEOW

The Goddess Of World Cabaret

I've been incredibly lucky to have accompanied Meow Meow since her very early performances and so far played on 3 Edinburgh Festivals and shows in Toronto, Paris, New Zealand and the Australian festival circuit. It's such fun having the best seat in the house with Meow Meow in front of a full concert hall of adoring astonished fans wherever we play. She has changed Cabaret for ever.

MICHAEL DALLEY

Melbourne's Noel Coward

I began playing for Michael Dalley's show "Vaudeville X" featuring Michael's wonderful satirical songs. Other shows followed including, "Intimate Apparell", "Death In White Linen", "Urban Display Suite", "Mademoiselle" and "Rituals Of Art And Hatred", the last 3 shows featuring some of my musical contributions. Michael has currently sadly retired from performing.

TOMMY BRADSON

Performer/Writer extraordinaire!

Tommy Bradson is an incredible performer/writer and I've worked on 5 shows with him as musical director including one "Pirate Rhapsody Mermaid Requiem" (Winner best Cabaret Melbourne Fringe 2011) as composer. The other shows are "Men My Mother Loved", "Sweet 16 Birthday Party Massacre" (which won me the Green Room award for best musical direction), "Nosferatutu" and "REG" (an incredible tribute to Reg Livermore).
